RIVM is committed to providing online information that is user-friendly, accessible, well-designed and easy to find. Government websites need to be easy for the public to find, use and view. To make sure that this happens, RIVM has adopted the so-called Web Guidelines. The Web Guidelines are based on the internationally recognized rules concerning website accessibility, design and sustainability as laid down by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The Accessibility Foundation has conducted annual reviews of RIVM’s online information since 2011, and has authorized RIVM to use the drempelvrij.nl quality mark on its website www.rivm.nl.
